About the Artwork
The Rings of Saturn are an iconic feature of the second-largest planet in our celestial family. A sleeping gas giant in the cold, unforgiving void of space, encompassed by shimmering rings of ice and rock. One of the most beautiful and spectacular signs of the Almighty's power. Allah speaks of his blessings to us in the Quran.
Surat A-Anbiyyal: "It is he who created the night and the day, and the sun and the moon: all the celestial bodies swim along, each in its own rounded course." [21:33]
Surat Al-Nahl: “And he has made subservient for you the night and the day, and the sun and the moon, and the stars are made subservient by His commandment; most surely there are signs in this for a people who ponder.” [16:12]
This is truly Allah's gift to mankind. Through His knowledge of the unseen, the Almighty Lord of the Worlds (Rabbi Alameen) created a beautiful protection system that makes our existence possible; without it, we could not possibly be here.
20” X 16” (40cm x 50cm approx.) Acrylic on Canvas. Ready to hang.
